Travel to Edinburgh

Flying to Edinburgh

Edinburgh International Airport is 12 kilometres (8 miles) from the city centre. There are flights from most UK airports over 30 European destinations and direct flights from North America. There are frequent bus links to the city centre and a good supply of taxis.

It is also practical to fly into Glasgow Airport, offering further flight options. It would take approximately 2 hours to travel from Glasgow Airport to Edinburgh city centre.

Train Travel

Waverley Railway Station is situated in the centre of Edinburgh and is well served by the rail network. Rail travel from central London takes about 5 hours. Comprehensive train connections are also available from other major cities in the UK.
 
GNER and Virgin Cross Country offer regular services to Edinburgh. Journeys from London take approximately 4 - 5 hours.
